Web Design Labs combines our years of learning into a forward-thinking curriculum that will prepare students for designing websites in the real world.
The goal of the lab is to give students a better understanding of how websites are designed and created. We inspire them to learn by designing and coding their own creative web projects.
When we first started teaching the class to elementary school aged kids we were really blown away by how fast the kids can learn this stuff. So many kids love to draw and write already. Making websites fulfills an inner need for them to share their work with others.
We've spent a lot of time finding way to make sites easier, better, and faster. We use tools like figma and Webflow that the students can use in a browser. So there's no need to download anything and they can pick back up at home if they want to keep working on the sites on their own time.
We also have been recently getting into Rive (mind blowing motion graphics all made in a web browser) and Spline (a kickin web-based 3d program!)
